Beatriz Escobar

Born in São Paulo (Brazil), Beatriz Escobar has lived in Milan, Barcelona, Atlanta, New York City and now lives and works in the Bay Area, CA.

Her fine art practice focuses on issues pertaining to race and to the contemporary identity of women. She is a mentor to youth at the San Francisco-based program First Exposures and has been an intern at the de Young Museum Ambassador Program, and an exhibit guide at the Oakland Museum of CA.
